Consistency…

Life takes us through winding turns.

Some people cross your path at the time you need them most, but you'll never see them again.

Some stay a while and help you get to the next turn, but there, your paths part.

Some people come and stay with you forever. A forever friend is what I like to call them…

Situations blind side you. Almost debilitate you. Surprise you. Sadden you. Anger you.

Some things you see, you thought you never would. Some things you end up doing, you once thought you'd never have the courage to do.

What's the point? No one in the world is perfect. Yet we expect our lives to be... How can our lives be perfect when we are surrounded by imperfection and random, spontaneous occurrences?

Perhaps instead of asking & striving for perfection, we should thank God that, in the midst of imperfection, uncertainty, & chaos, He is still sovereign & His character will always be the ONE thing that doesn't change.

So glad He is not as vacillative with us as we are with Him. He’s a Forever Friend. Always there, no matter what. No matter who comes or goes, and no matter how the turns wind. He’s solid. And stable. And I’m glad to know Him.
